DKIM (Domain-Keys Identified Mail)
Here is an example:
Example DKIM record
- Type: TXT
- Name: default._domainkey
- Content: v=DKIM1; h=sha256; k=rsa; p=MIIBIjAN ......(truncated)
Notes
- I suggest we keep it simple and "use default". It really helps testing later.
- Please DO NOT USE online DKIM generators. A third party will get hold of your private keys.
- Linuxbabe has written an excellent tutorial to create your DKIM record.
- If your MTA is not Postfix but something else, please check its admin guide for DKIM.
How to measure success?
You can use DKIM checker or similar tools.
Important - Your DKIM records protect your outgoing email. You also need incoming emails to be checked against senders' DKIM records.
